Dr. Jenkins, can you tell us about your journey into education and what motivated you to focus on student success?

I’ve always had a deep passion for helping students achieve their personal and academic goals. After completing my doctorate in education, I realized how many students face barriers that affect their success—not just academically, but emotionally and socially. I wanted to be part of a system that helps students overcome these challenges, which is why I moved into the role of Director of Student Success.

My path into education was sparked by the belief that every student has untapped potential. Focusing on their success means understanding their unique needs and providing the right tools and support to help them thrive both inside and outside the classroom
