Why I started this project

When I started thinking seriously about my future, I was in a dilemma. There were many careers to consider, but it was difficult to understand what people in those roles actually do, how they got there, and whether a path would suit my interests and strengths.

I began researching different professions and looking beyond job titles. I wanted to know about day-to-day work, education and training, schedules, challenges, growth, and the choices people would make differently if they were starting again.

I created Career Choice Talks because I believe many students are asking the same questions. This site brings those questions together in one place, so students can explore careers with more context, compare different paths, and decide what they want to investigate next.

What I do here

I collect and organise career perspectives into a consistent interview format. Each profile is designed to help students see both the opportunities and trade-offs of a field, then use that information as a starting point for their own research and conversations with people in their community.
